Building Maintenance Using Rope Access

Manor Lea

Manor Lea in Worthing is a classic case of 'needing of a bit of TLC'.

Chris was subcontracted to undertake a number of maintenance tasks to refresh the look of the building.

Due to it’s proximately to the sea the building has been exposed to coastal wind and rain, therefore a number of jobs needed to be carried out including: re-pointing areas of mortar, painting and rendering.

A fresh coat of paint was applied to walls and ceiling of each balcony.

The wooden window frames and sills were sanded down. A specialist undercoat was applied to the frames and sills, and a top coat of white gloss paint finished the new fresh look.

Attention was also given to the bird netting and spikes: repairs and reinstalls.

To give the building its final facelift the ‘retro orange’ was refreshed with a much more modern cream paint.

As a final task we professionally cleaned every window so all the residents could enjoy their sea views!
