Building Maintenance Using Rope Access
Manor Lea
Manor Lea in Worthing is a classic case of 'needing of a bit of TLC'.
Chris was subcontracted to undertake a number of maintenance tasks to refresh the look of the building.
Due to it’s proximately to the sea the building has been exposed to coastal wind and rain, therefore a number of jobs needed to be carried out including: re-pointing areas of mortar, painting and rendering.
A fresh coat of paint was applied to walls and ceiling of each balcony.
The wooden window frames and sills were sanded down. A specialist undercoat was applied to the frames and sills, and a top coat of white gloss paint finished the new fresh look.
Attention was also given to the bird netting and spikes: repairs and reinstalls.
To give the building its final facelift the ‘retro orange’ was refreshed with a much more modern cream paint.
As a final task we professionally cleaned every window so all the residents could enjoy their sea views!

Abseiling for building maintenance

Wooden window frames painted and top couple of render with its new colour.

The finished product!

Painting the north side balconies, we didn't see much sunshine on this side.

Anchor bolts installed to allow us to work closer to the windows and repair some exposed re-bar and weak concrete
